Kazakhtelecom has launched a new broadband internet service which offers download speeds of up to 120Mbps, Telecompaper reports. The new service, dubbed iDNet 120, more than doubles the previous peak speed of 50Mbps which was available via Kazakhtelecom’s fibre-based networks. The operator has deployed fibre technology in more than 130 towns and cities, while it has also upgraded its backbone networks with the introduction of 100G technology.
