Russian national operator Rostelecom has reportedly acquired fixed telecoms infrastructure in the Crimea region from a trio of Ukrainian operators. According to an unverified report by the Prime business news agency, the infrastructure was purchased from Ukrainian operators Datagroup, Atracom and a third unspecified company. The total assets bought by Rostelecom span around 2,000km, and have been valued at around USD30 million. The report adds that Rostelecom has also staged negotiations with Ukrtelecom, but was unable to agree on a price-tag for its Crimean networks.
