Serbian incumbent Telekom Srbija has deployed Alcatel Lucent’s Motive Network analyser solution as part of its ongoing network upgrade, the French-US vendor revealed in a press release. According to Alca-Lu the Motive Network Analyser allows the telco to remotely diagnose line quality and act to address issues before they impact the customer. It also offers dynamic line management (DLM) technology, which ensures optimal performance. Telekom Srbija is currently investing in migrating to VDSL2 Vectoring technology and Alca-Lu’s network monitoring tool enables it to ensure that its xDSL lines meet the quality and stability expectations of its customers, whilst reducing operating costs. Filip Bankovic, Telekom Srbija’s CTO commented on the deployment: ‘Alcatel-Lucent was able to very effectively show the advantages of using a tool like Network Analyser for managing our xDSL network, thus guaranteeing high quality internet and video services, and we are looking forward to reaping the benefits of its deployment.’
