Russian Long Term Evolution (LTE) provider Yota has announced that it launched mobile voice services in Moscow, Moscow Region, St Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast. The service provider, which previously offered a data-only service via dongles, tablets and hotspots, will be selling the service on an online-only basis, rather than through traditional retail outlets. For RUB750 (USD20.8) per month, a Yota smartphone user is granted unlimited on-net calls, data access and SMS, and 300 minutes of calls to other Russian networks. Subsequent usage is priced at RUB2.5 per minute. The service will be extended to other regions in due course.
