Movistar spends GTQ42.4m to improve coverage in tourist areas

Movistar Guatemala has invested GTQ42.4 million (USD5.4 million) to improve its network coverage in key tourist resorts such as Lake Atitlan, Rio Dulce, Antigua, Retalhuleu and the beaches on the Pacific coast. Marketing director Salvador Montes de Oca told Prensa Libre that the investment supported the deployment of 40 antennas, a number of which are 3G-capable.
