Belgian multi-service operator Mobistar has announced that it has inked a deal to acquire certain assets belonging to Euphony Benelux, which was declared bankrupt on 3 April 2014. Under the terms of the agreement, Euphony’s ADSL and fixed voice customers will be transferred to Mobistar, which says it has ‘the intention to continue these activities together with a number of former Euphony personnel’. Further, Mobistar will also acquire the rights to the Euphony moniker, as well as other brands related to telecom activities. Euphony’s mobile voice customers already access their service over Mobistar’s network, so the company has said it expects the development to have no impact on them. No financial details of the agreement will be made public, Mobistar has confirmed.
