M2M MVNO CoSwitched launches pan-European service

CoSwitched, an Internet of Things mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) facilitating Machine-2-Machine (M2M) voice, messaging and data communications, has soft-launched its SIM-based service which it aims to be ‘the first affordable pan-European GSM connectivity provider for machines.’ The Portugal-based startup is offering SIM cards with basic monthly tariffs from EUR1.50 (USD2.09, including 5MB of data), useable across third-party mobile networks in 23 countries. End-users and machine manufacturers can order SIM cards from CoSwitched’s online shop, while the firm also provides a platform to manage and monitor connectivity. Co-founder Bruno Duarte said: ‘CoSwitched aims to disrupt the market with a simple, affordable and no frills and no boundaries value proposition. We expect to have between ten to 15 thousand GSM connections in the first year.’
