Auchan Telecom unveils 4G offer

14 Mar 2014

French mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Auchan Telecom has introduced a pre-paid plan with unlimited voice calls, unlimited SMS/MMS and 5GB of data over 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network for EUR24.99 (USD34.63), France Mobiles reports. Post-paid subscription plans are also available, at EUR28.99 per month for 2GB of 4G data and EUR42.99 (5GB). The 4G subscription plans are aligned to the 4G plans offered by NRJ Mobile, Auchan Telecom’s sister company.

As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, French privately-owned retail group Auchan sold its MVNO business to Euro Information Telecom (EI), a subsidiary of Credit Mutuel-CIC and NRJ Mobile in September 2013. EI Telecom also owns the brands NRJ Mobile, CIC Mobile, Credit Mutuel Mobile, Cofidis Mobile and Blancheporte Mobile. Auchan Telecom brand and the associated domain name will be phased out by December 2015.
