Orange Moldova, the country’s largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers, has upped the maximum download speed available over its Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to 150Mbps. According to a company press release, 4G subscribers in twelve cities – Chisinau, Balti, Cahul, Ungheni, Calarasi, Hancesti, Ceadir-Lunga, Orhei, Donduseni, Otaci , Edineti and Soroca – can now benefit from 50% faster transmission speeds. Orange Moldova’s CEO Liudmila Climoc said: ‘Through this investment we strengthen our number one position in Moldova, in terms of mobile internet. We believe that the speed of 150Mbps [will] facilitate public access to communications [as we] meet customer needs and provide support for business development in the private sector.’
