Mobilis and Djezzy to sign network sharing agreement

28 Feb 2014

Saad Damma, CEO of wireless operator Algerie Telecom Mobile (Mobilis), was reportedly given green light to sign an infrastructure sharing agreement with rival cellco Djezzy GSM, Agence Ecofin reports. According to the article, the endorsement was given by Jo Lunder, CEO of Vimpelcom, the parent company of Djezzy, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). By sharing base transceiver stations (BTS) with its rival, Mobilis aims to reduce its expenditure and environmental impact while improving its network coverage in the country.
