China Telecom, the country’s third largest wireless operator by subscribers, plans to launch 4G LTE mobile broadband services in around 100 cities across the country next week. According to a report by the Shanghai Daily, China Telecom’s 4G data packages range from CNY70 (USD11.5) for 1GB of data to CNY280 for 10GB. Subscribers in Shanghai can reportedly pre-order 4G data products in eight China Telecom outlets; the company’s 4G network in Shanghai currently covers the Middle Ring region, but will be expanded across the whole city by the end of the year with additional coverage at 1,100 indoor sites.
