AT&T has sought permission from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to acquire a number of advanced wireless spectrum (AWS) licences from Phoenix, Arizona-based cableco Cable ONE. According to an FCC notice published late last week, AT&T hopes to purchase 20MHz of AWS-1 A block spectrum in 24 Cellular Market Areas (CMAs). The frequencies cover 119 counties and various states.
