Kalaam boosts international connectivity via Bharti

6 Feb 2014

Bahraini enterprise-focused alternative telco Kalaam Telecom has entered into a strategic alliance with India’s Bharti Airtel under which it has established a direct interconnection with Airtel’s point-of-presence (PoP) in London and gained access to Airtel’s global network infrastructure. This will allow Kalaam to expand its data services portfolio and extend connectivity across the Middle East region over a number of optimal, low-latency routes. The partnership supports Kalaam’s provision of wholesale services such as carrier Ethernet, fully managed MPLS IP-VPNs, SDH and wavelength services and global IP transit. Kalaam added that in addition, multinational companies with a presence in Bahrain can benefit from the partnership via connections to their off-shore offices/headquarters across all continents through Kalaam’s low-latency and redundant routes.
