STC renews managed services contract with NSN

Saudi Telecom Company (STC), the country’s leading telco in terms of subscribers, has renewed its managed services contract with vendor Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) in order to improve its operational efficiency, network performance and quality of service (QoS). According to a joint press release, NSN will continue to provide its comprehensive managed services including network planning and optimisation, in addition to network and service operations services for STC’s Al Jawal Network. The contract covers STC’s GSM, 3G and 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks. Hani Dib, head of STC’s customer team at NSN Saudi Arabia commented: ‘Our managed services help to boost end-to-end network and service performance, and hence allows STC to focus its resources on core business activities.’
