Claro Ecuador launches mobile VoD service

America Movil subsidiary Claro Ecuador is launching its streaming video-on-demand (VoD) service ‘Clarovideo’ on 3 February exclusively to mobile subscribers, reports TeleSemana, adding that the service will cost USD7.50 plus tax, which may be charged directly to the user’s mobile bill, although it is being promoted free for a month. Clarovideo is already available via America Movil’s subsidiaries in Brazil , Mexico and Argentina, while the Mexican-owned group is also planning to launch the VoD service in Chile soon.
