b-lite calls on Airpsan Networks for LTE solution

31 Jan 2014

US-based Airspan Networks has announced that it has successfully deployed its Long Term Evolution (LTE) solution in Band42 on a commercial basis for Belgium’s b-lite. In a press release the vendor noted that it had deployed its compact eNodeB and EPC technology for the Belgian operator, allowing the latter ‘to take immediate and full advantage of LTE technology, increasing their network capacity and coverage’.

Commenting on the development, Max Heilbron, b-lite’s CEO, noted: ‘We are very excited to be migrating to our first [Time Division TD]-LTE system in Belgium using 4G spectrum,’ adding: ‘Our 4G technology will be offered to residential and business customers and will also be a great asset for any mobile broadband with a Quality of Service guarantee for projects enabling Wi-Fi on public transportation.’
