Claro scolded over coverage, joins Movistar on naughty-step

22 Jan 2014

Mobile operator Claro Ecuador, part of the America Movil group, has been ordered by telecoms regulatory authority Supertel to remove two locations from its advertised network coverage list as its service quality in these areas did not meet minimum requirements, BNamericas reports. The ruling follows a recent similar measure imposed by Supertel on Claro’s rival Movistar Ecuador, a subsidiary of Telefonica.
