Pacnet opens new data centre in Singapore

15 Jan 2014

The Asia-Pacific carrier Pacnet has announced the opening of a new USD90 million Tier-III data centre in Singapore, dubbed Singapore CloudSpace II (SGCS2). The 155,000 square feet facility will serve multinational companies and local businesses, providing connectivity to Pacnet’s 46,000km of regional undersea cable systems. As well as providing customers with colocation and connectivity services, the new centre also offers them access to Pacnet’s managed services, including Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) and Pacnet Enabled Network (PEN). Pacnet says that with the addition of the SGCS2 facility, it is now operating 455,000 square feet of data centre space across 14 cities in the region, all of which are connected by Pacnet’s high speed fibre networks.
