Espial, a provider of digital TV and IPTV software and solutions, has announced that Lithuanian fixed line incumbent TEO LT has launched its next generation of on-demand video services using the Espial MediaBase content delivery platform. Canada-based Espial says that its platform is designed to streamline content delivery, reducing capital and operating expenses for telcos as they roll out streaming services such as video-on-demand and time-shift TV. ‘We were looking for a proven, carrier-grade content delivery platform to meet the on-demand viewing requirements of our ever growing subscriber base,’ commented Darius Didzgalvis, CTO of TEO, adding: ‘Espial MediaBase provides us with a high-performance content delivery platform that helps us increase ARPU with a cost-effective solution.
