TashiCell to launch HSPA+ network on 3 December

2 Dec 2013

Bhutanese mobile operator TashiCell is poised to introduce HSPA+ connectivity on 3 December. According to online portal thebhutanese.bt, services will initially be available in Thimphu, Paro, Punakha, Bajo, Wangduephodrang, Gelephu, Gedu and Phuentsholing. The report notes though that customers can expect to see the kind of ‘mid-range devices’ prevalent in India, rather than high-end handsets from the likes of Apple and Samsung. The new HSPA+ network will utilise the 850MHz band, the article adds.
