Banks told to freeze Robi’s accounts over USD4.4m tax bill

The Bangladeshi National Board of Revenue (NBR) has instructed banks to freeze all accounts of mobile operator Robi Axiata, which will remain frozen until Robi has paid overdue taxes which the NBR claims amount to nearly BDT350 million (USD4.43 million), according to the country’s Financial Express newspaper.
