MTS 3Q13 revenues reach RUB103.3bn

Moscow-based telecoms giant Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has reported revenues of RUB103.38 billion (USD3.16 billion) for the three months ended 30 September 2013, a rise of 4.0% year-on-year. Adjusted OIBDA for Q3 increased 4.5% year-on-year to RUB46.29 billion, while the company saw its net income drop 10.4% to RUB18.08 billion in the period under review. The group’s domestic unit contributed the lion’s share of 3Q13 sales, generating revenues of RUB91.53 billion for the July-September period, an increase of 3.7% y-o-y. Elsewhere, MTS Ukraine saw its quarterly revenues drop 1.2% on an annualised basis to UAH2.63 billion (USD316.46 million), reporting net income of UAH683.9 million, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year.
