Czech court dismisses cellco’s injunction bid to stop 4G auction

CTK news agency cites an official at the Czech Telecommunication Office (CTU) as saying that a Czech court has rejected an injunction filed by Telefonica O2 CR to stop the proposed auction of radio spectrum suitable for 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile services. The filing, submitted last month by the Telefonica-owned unit, protested at the regulator’s plan to reserve some spectrum for a new operator and two other conditions laid out in the auction plan. The 4G auction is scheduled to begin on 11 November.
