Ukrtelecom’s 9M revenues fall 1.6%

Ukraine’s National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market (NKTSBFR) has reported that the consolidated net revenues of Ukrtelecom decreased by 1.6% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2013 to UAH4.872 billion (USD589 million). The Ukrainian dominant PSTN operator and sole W-CDMA mobile licensee posted 9M 2013 net profit of UAH113 million, although this was less than one-third of the UAH366 million net profit reported in the first three quarters of 2012, while gross profit rose by 5.5% year-on-year to UAH1.428 billion in January-September 2013. A large portion of the 9M13 net profit – UAH86 million – was earned in the third quarter of the year, while quarterly net revenue was reported at UAH1.630 billion in July-September, 1.3% less than the UAH1.651 billion posted in 3Q12. The results were based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
