Veselin Bozhkov, the president of Bulgaria’s telecoms watchdog the Commission for Communications Regulation (CRC), and Zoran Sekulic, the executive director of Montenegro’s telecoms regulator the Agency for Electronic Communications & Post (EKIP), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15 October 2013. According to a joint press release, the bilateral cooperation between the regulators and the expansion of their partnership ‘is essential for the promotion of the development of affordable telecoms services in Bulgaria and Montenegro’. Under the terms set out by the MoU, the CRC and the EKIP will exchange best regulatory practices and experience through joint projects and will provide information on the status of their national markets.
