4G consultation document expected by end-2013

Following a meeting between the Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC’s) regulatory authorities and Mamadou Kolabo, Airtel Africa’s head of regulatory policy, it has been reported that steps have been taken to produce a consultation document regarding the introduction of 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) licences in the country. Agence Ecofin reports that the consultation is expected to be made available to interested parties before the end of the year.
