GrameenPhone expands 3G to Chittagong, Sylhet

Bangladeshi cellco GrameenPhone has expanded its commercial 3G mobile network – launched earlier this month in Dhaka – to selected areas of Sylhet and Chittagong. It claims to be the first operator to launch 3G in Sylhet commercially, reports the Financial Express. The 3G footprint initially covers the Agrabad area of Chittagong, while 3G is available in Sylhet in the areas of Mirabazar, Zindabazar, Chouhatta, Amberkhana, Karimullah Market, Porjoton and the airport.
