Kyivstar legacy unit URS relinquishes licences

Ukrainian telecoms regulator the NCCIR has cancelled the mobile and fixed network operating licences of Ukrainian Radio Systems (URS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyivstar, at the request of the operator, reports URS (branded as Beeline) had already been integrated into mobile market leader Kyivstar, and URS officially ceased operating as an entity in its own right on 30 August, while this week Kyivstar announced a strategy to unite all its sub-brands under the Kyivstar banner, including the legacy Beeline brand.
