Deadline extended for Etisalat’s Maroc Telecom bid

Etisalat has announced that the period for its binding offer and exclusive talks to buy Vivendi’s 53% stake in Maroc Telecom has been extended from 25 September to 31 October. The UAE-headquartered company made a bid of EUR3.9 billion (USD5.3 billion) for the stake on 22 July, and hopes to close the deal before the end of 2013.
