Zain selects Ericsson for flexible billing solution

Zain Jordan, the nation’s largest cellco by subscribers, has selected Swedish vendor Ericsson to roll out its Charging and Billing in One (CBIO) solution, Telecom Lead writes. The CBIO solution enables Zain to offer greater billing flexibility to its pre- and post-paid subscribers, allowing users to try new services without running into unexpected costs. The billing solution also supports machine-to-machine (M2M) services as well as subscriber and partner management capabilities, granting Zain opportunities to develop new service offerings. Commenting on the deal, Zain Jordan’s CEO Ahmad Al Hanandeh siad: ‘This latest step in our partnership with Ericsson will allow us to provide unparalleled billing flexibility to our subscribers and pave the way for the introduction of more advanced technologies in the future.’
