Norwegian-backed cellco Telenor Serbia has activated high definition (HD) voice services for its customers, improving the quality of calls for subscribers with compatible handsets. HD voice improves the quality of calls by minimising background noise and is available on Telenor’s 2G and 3G networks. In order to use the service, both the caller and the recipient must have handsets that support the function, however. Telenor’s portfolio currently features seven smartphones that are HD voice-compatible: HTC Desire X, HTC One, Nokia Lumia 920/820/620, Nokia Pure View 808 and Sony Xperia E.
