Orange and T-Mobile Poland, the Polish wireless units of Orange Group and Deutsche Telekom (DT) respectively, have agreed to extend their network sharing cooperation to include a 4G network using the German-backed company’s recently acquired 1800MHz spectrum, local news portal rpkom writes. The duo, which currently share mobile infrastructure via their NetWorkS! joint venture, will cooperate in the construction, management and maintenance of a new Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. The network will be utilised by both providers to offer 4G services to their respective customers. The deal will last 14.5 years and may be expanded to include other frequency bands won by either cellco at a later date. No financial details were published.
