Gabon’s Agency for Electronic Communications & Posts (ARCEP) has presented the results of a recent survey/audit to measure service quality in the country’s mobile networks, with criteria including radio quality, voice quality and data transfer quality, in the capital Libreville and second city Port-Gentil, in other regional capitals, rural areas and major roads. Out of the country’s four mobile operators, the ‘Libertis’ branded cellular division of Gabon Telecom (a unit of Maroc Telecom) was ranked in first place, boasting ‘good network coverage, good success rate in voice calls, a good data download rate’, ahead of second-place Moov, third-placed Airtel and finally the smallest operator Azur. ARCEP added that there was ‘a slight improvement in the quality of service’ across all four operators’ networks.
