Swedish telecoms reseller Alltele’s revenues increased to SEK244.1 million (USD37.5 million) in Q2 2013 from SEK198.4 million a year earlier, while its EBITDA doubled to SEK19.9 million compared to SEK8.1 million in Q2 2012. Net profit of SEK3.8 million in 2Q13 represented a swing from SEK5.3 million net losses a year earlier, despite quarterly restructuring costs of SEK17.5 million (after completing the acquisition of Universal Telecom). The company also gave an update on subscribers, saying that it currently serves ‘over 200,000’ individual customers, while its AllTele Private (consumer) division serves 265,612 revenue generating units (RGUs) and AllTele Business serves 103,950 RGUs across its service range which includes fixed and mobile telephony, broadband, CATV and IPTV. A statement from the company said: ‘Our goal is to increase this number of customers both through effective organic growth and the acquisition of relevant company and/or customer assets… The market today is highly competitive and pressure on margins and profitability, which will lead to further consolidation and a reduction in the number of competitors. New AllTele is well positioned to capitalise [on] opportunities that arise in a changing market.’
