Subscriber, traffic growth drives 17% increase in revenue for VIP

14 Aug 2013

Telekom Austria-backed Serbian cellco VIP Mobile has booked revenues of RSD9.8 billion (USD113.9 million) for the first six months of 2013, representing a 17% increase year-on-year, driven by a 13% increase in subscribers to more than 1.9 million. The cellco registered a 44% y-o-y increase in EBITDA in H1 2013 to RSD3.5 billion. Revenues for the three month period ended 30 June 2013 totalled RSD5 billion (+15% y-o-y), with EBITDA of RSD1.8 billion. VIP attributed the growth to the expansion of its subscriber base – in particular the post-paid segment – and increases in data and voice traffic.
