Vodacom to roll out 325 base stations by year-end

Vodacom Mozambique has revealed that it expects to install around 325 new base transceiver stations (BTS) throughout the country by the end of December. According to BizTechAfrica, the enhanced coverage will primarily focus on rural areas, as the cellco endeavours to increase its 3G penetration. Going forward, Vodacom spokesman Luis Cabaco said that more masts will be erected in 2014.
