DTAC in M2M partnership with Ericsson

18 Jul 2013

Thai cellco DTAC has partnered with Ericsson to deploy the Swedish firm’s Device Connection Platform as a service to develop and enhance machine-to-machine (M2M) products for enterprises under the mobile operator’s TriNet brand. The solution facilitates the deployment, management and monetisation of M2M and consumer electronics devices for TriNet enterprise customers. According to a press release the platform offers DTAC – part of the Norwegian Telenor Group – and its solution partners the opportunity to increase revenue and decrease operational costs, as well as shorten time to market. DTAC’s existing M2M offerings include smart metering and point of sales solutions, fleet management, logistics and delivery, personal tracking and mobile surveillance.
