Thailand’s Digital Total Access Communications (DTAC) is expected to launch commercial 2100MHz 3G services on 23 July, parent group Telenor confirmed in a release. Ahead of the launch DTAC recently introduced its TriNet brand for its 1800MHz/850MHz/2100MHz tri-band mobile network to differentiate its services from main competitors AIS and True. DTAC already has around 3.5 million subscribers on its 850MHz 3G service and has rolled out a 2100MHz network after receiving a licence in December 2012, aiming to sign up between eight million and ten million customers on the new 3G network by this year’s end.
