Four companies cleared for 4G auction

Movistar, Claro, Viettel Peru and Americatel Peru, the local unit of Entel Chile, have all been cleared to participate in the upcoming auction of 4G frequencies, TeleSemana writes, citing an announcement from the Agency for the Promotion of Private Investment (ProInversion). Spectrum in the 1710MHz-1770MHz and 2110-2170MHz (AWS) band, set aside for 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services, will go under the hammer in late July 2013.
