Golden Telecom mobile numbers terminate in September

10 Jun 2013

Active mobile phone numbers registered to Golden Telecom, part of Ukraine’s Kyivstar group owned by Vimpelcom, will be terminated on 4 September 2013, and to ensure continuous service, remaining customers must sign up with Kyivstar and receive a new phone number and SIM card, the parent company announced. Remaining fixed line numbers and internet services registered to Golden Telecom will continue unchanged, ProIT reported. In April the National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Informatization (NCCIR or NKRZI) extended the legacy GSM-1800 licence held by the group’s Golden Telecom (Kiev) unit to 2018.
