Osiptel approves fixed line price cuts

Peruvian regulator Osiptel has approved a fresh wave of tariff reductions on Movistar Peru’s fixed line packages, which it claims will benefit 182,106 households and will generate annual savings totalling PEN5.6 million (USD2.02 million). The reductions came into effect on 1 June 2013, and apply to line installation, local and international calls and monthly subscriptions.
