Hutch gives users free Nimbuzz

Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka (Hutch) has announced that it will offer instant messaging application Nimbuzz free of charge for all its network subscribers in Sri Lanka for six months beginning this month. The cellco’s CEO Thirukumar Nadarasa said: ‘Hutch is extremely committed to creating the highest value offering for the end user. Mobile messaging is gaining great popularity across the world and Sri Lanka too is a part of this revolution. Our partnership with Nimbuzz aims at making communication more affordable and convenient.’ Nimbuzz reportedly has roughly 150 million users worldwide.
