Bosnian multi-service operator Telekom Srpske, which operates under the m:tel banner, has announced that it has successfully tested 4G LTE technology in real world conditions. The telco said it had trialled the technology in Banja Luka, the administrative capital and largest city of Republika Srpska, with Chinese vendor ZTE having supplied the equipment. During the trial the telco said that it had achieved downlink speeds of up to 71Mbps. Despite the development, Telekom Srpske has not revealed a timeframe for the commercial launch of 4G services.
