Singapore’s SingTel Mobile has upgraded its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to support maximum peak download speeds of 150Mbps, although it admits that typical end-user speeds will be in the range of 5Mbps-40Mbps. Further, the cellco has said that in addition to improving its 4G outdoor coverage, it is working with developers and building owners to ensure that LTE capabilities are available in as many apartments as possible in the city-state. To support the new upgrade announcement, SingTel Mobile is offering a ‘Mobile Broadband 150’ plan with a mobile Wi-Fi modem from 11 May and a USB dongle modem, available from 18 May.
