Optimus notches speeds of 300Mbps in LTE-Advanced trial

According to online portal economico.sapo.pt, Optimus has achieved downlink transmission speeds of up to 300Mbps in a trial of Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) technology, with corresponding uplink speeds reaching 70Mbps. The company claims that, when introduced commercially, the advanced speeds will allow end-users to download a 100MB music album in less than eight seconds and a 1GB movie in around 60 seconds.
