TOT proposes AIS buy shares in network operating subsidiary

26 Apr 2013

Thai newspaper The Nation reports that state-owned telco TOT has proposed that its concession holder Advanced Info Service (AIS) acquire shares in TOT’s wholly owned network operator subsidiary ACT Mobile as part of the government-backed firm’s plan to have ACT Mobile rent out all its network assets to generate new revenue streams. TOT chairman Udom Puasakul said yesterday that talks on the matter with AIS – the country’s largest cellco – were ongoing.
