CRC adopts decision on guarantees for interconnection deals

18 Apr 2013

Bulgaria’s Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) has adopted Decision No.256 of 3 April 2013 on the amount of bank guarantees or similar securities required by interconnection agreements. After a consultation on the procedure and analysis of the comments received from interested parties, CRC ruled that intervention by the regulatory body is not required, as the majority of companies have agreed on the conditions for the provision on guarantees for claims under the contracts. The exact amount and conditions of the securities should be negotiated by the companies in compliance with Decisions No. 1361 and No. 1362 (May 2012), however CRC will examine each case individually in terms of its compliance with specific obligations imposed on the undertakings.
