LIME cuts costs with Ericsson deal

27 Mar 2013

LIME Jamaica has signed a seven-year deal with Ericsson for external installation and maintenance services, the Jamaica Gleaner reports. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, though it is understood that the Swedish vendor will handle the installation of devices in homes as well as monitoring the telco’s network and carrying out any repairs. The outsourcing contract will allow LIME to reduce costs by cutting its staff headcount. The agreement takes effect from 20 May 2013.
