miSpot launches LTE in Manistee County

21 Mar 2013

Manistee County is the first of 37 rural Michigan counties to be granted connectivity to the new Long Term Evolution (LTE) network rolled out by miSpot, a subsidiary of Agri-Valley Communications, which is based in Pigeon, Michigan. Ray Leppien, miSpot general manager, commented: ‘After more than two years of work of analysing this new technology, studying various markets and installing new infrastructure, we’re delighted to be ready to launch our miSpot 4G LTE service in Manistee County, one of 37 Michigan Counties where our service will be available in the months ahead’. Prior to the network’s launch, around two dozen volunteers road-tested the 4G network, with no apparent problems.
