iConnect launches LTE in Guam

iConnect, a provider of mobile services in the Marianas, has launched a Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile broadband network on the Pacific island of Guam. Services are offered under the brand ‘LTE True 4G’ and provide mobile broadband at maximum speeds of 21Mbps download and 5Mbps upload. Coverage of the 700MHz LTE network is initially available across Marine Corps Drive and all of Tumon, but will be expanded to other areas in the future. According to iConnect, the network infrastructure was supplied and deployed by French-US equipment provider Alcatel-Lucent.
